Performances
Eligible Artistes:- Actors, singers, dancers, musicians, or key support staff
- Performing in events organised or supported by the Government or statutory body
- Performing in any public event
Journalism or media activities
- Individuals covering events backed by the Government or statutory body
Sports activities
Eligible Sports Personnel:- Athletes, coaches, umpires, or key support staff
- Participating in events supported by the Government or statutory body
- Foreigners contracted by a Singapore organisation need a valid work pass, regardless of their involvement in supported events
Filming & Fashion show activities
Eligible Persons:- Photographers, models, actors, directors, and crew involved in the production
- Engaged specifically in location filming leading to TV or movie productions or fashion shows
Seminars & Conference activities
Individuals involved in:- Organising, moderating, facilitating, or speaking
- Seminars, conferences, workshops, and talks
- Exclusions: religious, racial, community, or political events
- Providing peripheral services for the event (eg. cleaning/catering services)
- Setting up, maintaining, repairing and dismantling exhibition booths/sites
Provision of Specialised Skills
Eligible Individuals Providing Specialised Services:- Commissioning or auditing a new plant/equipment
- Specialised services in installing, dismantling, transferring, repairing, or maintaining any equipment, or machinery
- Transfer of knowledge on process of new operations in Singapore
- Possession of specialized skills unavailable in Singapore
- Authorised service personnel of the equipment supplier or manufacturer
Exhibitions
Eligible Participants:- Foreign exhibitors or traders in exhibitions or trade fairs
- Exhibitions at makeshift stalls
- Participants requiring a Trade Fair Permit under the Environmental Public Health Act cannot avail this exemption
- Providing peripheral services for the event (eg. cleaning/catering services)
- Setting up, maintaining, repairing and dismantling exhibition booths
Arbitration or Mediation Services
Exempted Professionals:- Arbitrators or mediators
- Matters not involving religion, race, community, or politics
Junket Activities
Eligible Foreign Junket Promoters:- Self-employed or employed by a foreign junket promoter
- Engaged in activities related to promoting or conducting junkets in a casino
- Must hold a valid junket representative license issued by the Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA)
Tour Facilitation
Eligible Foreigners in Tour Facilitation:- Engaged in activities directly related to facilitating tours
- Employed as tour leaders or facilitators by a foreign company
- Providing logistical support to visiting tour groups
- Ensuring smooth execution of tour itineraries through various tasks
